The AggreScreed AS1624 is very simple to not only mobilize but install for use.  We attached the screed to our Caterpillar D6N in less than two hours, and we were off and running.  The setup features of the AS1624 are very simple and user friendly.

Our initial trial of the AS1624 was very impressive.  We enjoyed labor cost savings of 25% during a four-day trial period.  Needless to say, knowing the Screed’s capabilities that would have only improved further with time.  The ability to accurately place exact widths and depths with this machine reduces Grade Check time and Quality Control time, thus reducing labor forces significantly.  It is very possible to lay 1,000 tons per hour accurately with this tool.  We were very impressed with the speed and accuracy in which the AggreScreed performs.

The most impressive point in using the Screed was our ability to utilize every single ton of material thus not enduring ANY overruns regarding material costs.  We had estimated an actual volume of 14,000 tons and we ended up with 14,080 tons.  This type of material control is what we all strive for when laying aggregate base courses.  The consistency of the “Mat” left behind the AggreScreed AS1624 is nothing short of amazing!!!!
